PAL Fundraiser a Success!

The PAL Halifax fund-raising committee would like to extend its thanks and congratulations to everyone who participated in our fund-raising drive last week in order to raise money and awareness for PAL Halifax.
Particular thanks to Neptune Theatre who kindly allowed us to make an appeal at every performance of the production of Trying from January 31st to February 5th. Thanks also to a team of volunteers made up of colleagues from our member-organizations who came to hold out their hats at each performance, and to the extremely generous audience members who gave willingly and enthusiastically. As a result we were able to collect a staggering $2822.59 - well above our target.
With this kind of response we are hopeful that other member-organizations involved with PAL will be inspired to put together an event of their own.
Any wrap parties coming up? How about a bottle-drive? Don’t forget that PAL Halifax is for all of us who make our living in the performing arts-not just for those in front of the camera or on stage.
It is wonderful to witness such a positive reaction to our plans for PAL Halifax from within our community and from the general public, and to realize that there is great support for our desire to ‘take care of our own’.
